Thank you SO MUCH for this suggestion. I am already a fan of Augusten Burroughs’ writing and after reading about this, I think it’s going to be the first book I purchase after I’m paid.
Note, this WILL grow. I am only keeping an eye turned towards the book ahead because my mood, and what I want to read, will certainly change over the course of these next few months.
- We Need To Talk About Kevin, Lionel Shriver (finished)
- The Center of Winter, Marya Hornbacher (currently reading)
- The End of Alice, A.M. Homes
Has anyone read any of these? Opinions? I’m trying to find more books like these — psychological, poetic, disturbing — but haven’t had the time to browse through the “YOU ALSO MAY LIKE…” on websites. Suggestions are always welcome. I swear my “to buy” list could take up one entire notebook.
